David Javate (pron. ha-VA-tay), has been a pillar of the San Francisco and Oakland techno community since the late 90s as a DJ/ Promoter. In the last several years, David has been a resident DJ of Direct to Earth, collaborated as part of production duo Lost in the Machine along side Patrick Gil and most recently, has been hard at work keeping his head down in the studio and releasing tracks under his own label, Contract Expand Recordings. As a DJ, David’s skill and track selection is excellent and on par with some of the touring producers that he has shared the bill with over the years, since the sound of his sets remains understated, extremely focused, cosmopolitan and dripping with class.
