Tatiana Vaughan, or just VAUGHAN, is a DJ originally from Nicaragua who now makes her home in SF and is a proponent for deep hypnotic techno sounds and is a strong stalwart for the ill sounds of electro in The City with a strong firm salute to Detroit’s DJ Stingray as a personal influence. As a selector, her record choices continually pull proper blend after blend and the records seem to pull each other’s own weight in the mix as they are faded in and out effortlessly. There are no wrong choices, even if they seem like they would be risky to other DJs, every mix is well thought out on the fly and it seems like she feels every blend as each passage calls to out to each other in a deep conversation.
