John Massey, aka Sound Rehab has been making a name for himself as one of Seattle techno music’s most up front and bangin’ techno artists and DJs for more than a decade. Originally hailing from Brooklyn, John started making some noise with Sound Rehab Productions in LA before focusing deeper on his own productions and keeping the underground in Seattle flush with hypnotic dark and jackin’ tunes. When you listen to John’s tracks and DJ sets, you can tell his focus is on intensity and pounding out some proper dope techno (which admittedly seems almost second nature for Massey), but also what’s inescapable is that dark hypnotic groove that just permeates all his tracks. Where some people would tend to neglect the groove, John keeps the dancefloor well in mind and makes this critical element a signature style that draws you in and locks everything in place.
Currently, John Massey is a close affiliate with From 0-1 with Sone in Seattle and has been working on producing releases with Subspec Vancouver, Dystopian Rhythm Detroit, and Darknet coming out of Sydney Australia.. further defining himself and the Northwest techno scene as an asset to the techno music community at large.
